At ena Development Consultants, we are proud to be part of the growth of the private sector in the region of Thrace — and more specifically, in Xanthi. We are especially pleased to have contributed to the upgrade of IKTEO Diagnosis, which operates in Xanthi (3rd km Xanthi – Kavala), through the utilization of the financial support tool of the NSRF 2014–2020. With the support of ena’s experienced team, the business IKTEO Diagnosis, owned by Ms. Kalaitzi, successfully secured approval under the action “Upgrading very small and small enterprises to develop their capacities in new markets” of the Operational Programme “Competitiveness, Entrepreneurship and Innovation (EPAnEK), NSRF 2014–2020”, receiving 50% funding of eligible expenses.
Through its participation in the above-mentioned funding action, the business was able to secure support for the purchase of software, printers, laptops, diagnostic instruments, cameras, energy-saving LED lighting, as well as promotional and marketing expenses — including the development of the company’s new website. In addition, the business expanded its range of services by appropriately upgrading its facilities to accommodate inspections of heavy-duty vehicles. Finally, the action also funded the creation of a new job position within the company.
As part of the creation of our new Business Story, the Marketing Department of ena had the pleasure of visiting IKTEO Diagnosis and speaking with the owner, Ms. Ioanna Kalaitzi. We had the opportunity to gain an inside look at the KTEO inspection process and learn how this business idea was born. Ms. Kalaitzi kindly and graciously answered a series of questions for us:
Πώς γεννήθηκε η ιδέα για την επιχείρηση σας;
The idea emerged when new legislation created the opportunity to establish private vehicle inspection centers (KTEO). Having the right background through our family business — which was Express Service in Xanthi — I took advantage of this opportunity and invested in founding a KTEO.
Πώς συνέβαλε η ena Σύμβουλοι Ανάπτυξης και η χρηματοδότηση του ΕΣΠΑ στην υλοποίηση του εγχειρήματος;
My collaboration with ena Development Consultants was excellent. Evi works tirelessly for the businesses that place their trust in ena. She supports and guides us through these long and complex processes — like NSRF programs — making them much easier to navigate.

We are committed to ensuring that everyone who trusts us remains safe on the road. At IKTEO Diagnosis, the vehicle inspection process goes beyond a technical procedure. With our detailed checks, warm and friendly service, and the practical advice we offer, we turn each visit into an informative experience that promotes a culture of road safety and responsibility. We also discuss the inspection results with vehicle owners — we don’t just hand over data.
One innovation offered by IKTEO Diagnosis is that we use an electronic checklist via PDA containing all the necessary points that must be inspected on each vehicle. This means errors are avoided, the inspection process is faster, and at the same time, we significantly reduce paper waste.
Επιπρόσθετα παρέχουμε την δυνατότητα παραλαβής (delivery) των οχημάτων των πελατών μας. Αυτό σημαίνει ότι μπορεί κάποιος να κλείσει ένα ραντεβού με το ΚΤΕΟ μας και να έρθουμε εμείς να παραλάβουμε το όχημά του καθώς και να το επιστρέψουμε μόλις ολοκληρωθεί η διαδικασία.
Τι δυσκολίες συναντήσατε κατά την σύσταση της επιχείρησής σας;
Οι πελάτες, έχοντας συνηθίσει τα δημόσια ΚΤΕΟ, “φοβήθηκαν” και στην αρχή αντιστάθηκαν σε αυτή την αλλαγή προς τον ιδιωτικό τομέα. Χρειάστηκε η καταβολή μεγάλης προσπάθειας για την αντιμετώπισή αυτής της παγιωμένης αντίληψης. Επίσης, μια μεγάλη δυσκολία ήταν η αποπληρωμή της υψηλής δανειοδότησης που έλαβα, προκείμενου να υλοποιηθεί η επένδυση.
Ποια είναι τα μελλοντικά σχέδια για την επιχείρηση σας;
Τα μελλοντικά μου σχέδια είναι η συνεχής αναβάθμιση των λογισμικών και των μηχανημάτων ελέγχου που χρησιμοποιούμε ώστε να γίνονται οι έλεγχοι όσο το δυνατόν γρηγορότερα και ακριβέστερα. Ας μην ξεχνάμε όμως και τον ανθρώπινο παράγοντα, η εκπαίδευση και η πιστοποιήση του προσωπικού μας είναι μια συνεχής διαδικασία στην οποία έχουμε επενδύσει όλα αυτά τα χρόνια και θα συνεχίσουμε να επενδύουμε και στο μέλλον.
Με ποιους τρόπους διαφημίσατε στην αρχή την επιχείρησή σας και πως τώρα;
Back in 2008, when technology was not as advanced and widespread, I started promoting my newly established business through bus stops, on buses, large billboards on main streets, as well as in magazines, radio, and flyers.
Πλέον, καθώς ο ψηφιακός κόσμος έχει μπει για τα καλά στη ζωή μας επενδύω περισσότερο στη χρήση των social media, ενώ έχω διατηρήσει τη παραδοσιακή διαφήμιση στο ραδιόφωνο.
Θα συμμετείχατε ξάνα σε πρόγραμμα ΕΣΠΑ;
Ασφαλώς και θα ξαναέκανα πρόγραμμα ΕΣΠΑ, μόνο με την ena φυσικά.
