Tolis Komitis’ journey into hairdressing began, quite naturally, from his personal love for grooming. Shortly after graduating from high school, he started cutting his friends’ hair as a hobby. Realizing he had both talent and passion for the craft, he began practicing consistently, gradually seeing his skills evolve and improve over time.

Although he studied Electrical Engineering in Kavala, Tolis never abandoned his passion for grooming. In his third year of university, he made the decision to pursue his passion professionally, successfully completing his degree while also enrolling in a vocational training institute (IEK) to study Hairdressing.

Η δημιουργία του KOMI Masterfades Barbershop

In December 2023, Tolis opened KOMI Masterfades Barbershop in Xanthi. Carefully planning every detail of the space and equipment, and working in collaboration with architect Konstantinos Koutras, he created a modern and comfortable environment that reflects his professional philosophy and aesthetic.

Η πορεία του καταστήματος ξεκίνησε δυναμικά, χάρη στη δύναμη της προσωπικής σύστασης και του “word of mouth”. Το πελατολόγιο αυξήθηκε φυσικά, επιβεβαιώνοντας ότι το μεράκι και η συνέπεια κερδίζουν την εμπιστοσύνη του κόσμου.

The first day of operation at KOMI Masterfades was filled with anticipation and creative nervousness. Tolis wanted everything to go smoothly: appointments on time, flawless results, and a positive experience for the clients. With proper preparation and calmness, the day went successfully, laying a solid foundation for the smooth running of the business.

Daily life at KOMI Masterfades is defined by organization, attention to detail, and a strong focus on the quality of service offered to each client individually. The barbershop stands out thanks to its comprehensive care: beyond classic haircuts, it offers eye patches for the eye area, eyebrow and facial hair removal, as well as a relaxing massage with a specially designed chair at the end of every treatment.

The goal is for every client to enjoy a complete experience of relaxation and grooming, in a welcoming and well-maintained environment.

The establishment of KOMI Masterfades Barbershop was significantly supported by Tolis Komitis’ participation in the DYPA program for business creation by unemployed individuals aged 18-29. To support and implement his entrepreneurial effort, he collaborated with ena Development Consultants, specifically with the SME Competitiveness Development Consultants Liana Kavoura and Michalis Vagdatsis.

As he mentions, the collaboration with ena stood out for its organization, reliability, and prompt support at every stage of the process. From the very beginning until the completion of the program, he received continuous updates and guidance for every required action, which gave him confidence and a sense of security.

Η υποστήριξη αυτή αποτέλεσε έναν πολύτιμο επιταχυντή για το ξεκίνημά του, καθώς του επέτρεψε να οργανώσει καλύτερα το εγχείρημά του και να επικεντρωθεί στην ουσία: να δημιουργήσει έναν χώρο περιποίησης αντάξιο των ονείρων του.

Μελλοντικά σχέδια

Ο Τόλης Κομήτης δεν σταματά να θέτει νέους στόχους. Με άμεση προτεραιότητα την ενίσχυση της ομάδας του και την παροχή νέων υπηρεσιών, οραματίζεται μελλοντικά την επέκταση του KOMI Masterfades και σε άλλες πόλεις, μέσω της δημιουργίας ενός δικτύου καταστημάτων τύπου franchise. Με σταθερό γνώμονα την ποιότητα και τη συνέπεια, φιλοδοξεί να εξελίσσεται συνεχώς, μένοντας πιστός στη φιλοσοφία του.
