The story of MD Food begins in 2002, when the two founders, Panagiotis Moschidis and Christos Dontsos, decided to join forces and acquire a small commercial business. Despite their different professional backgrounds, they shared the same vision: to create a company based on reliability, innovation, and continuous adaptation to market needs.

Through hard work, careful planning, and a clear strategy they followed, their business grew rapidly from its very first years of operation. Today, MD Food employs more than 28 people, serves over 1,200 clients, and maintains a presence throughout the region of Eastern Macedonia and Thrace. Its annual turnover consistently exceeds expectations for the area, while its reputation for the quality of its services remains consistently strong.

One of the key factors behind MD Food’s success is its consistent use of financial support tools. With the guidance of the SME Competitiveness Division of ena Development Consultants — led by Evi Voivatopoulou, Coordinator of the Division’s Consulting Services, and with the contribution of Liana Kavoura, Development Consultant of the Division — the company secured participation in the “Competitiveness Toolbox for Small and Very Small Enterprises” program under the EPAnEK 2014–2020 initiative.

The company, however, did not settle for these achievements alone. On the contrary, it continuously takes advantage of every available financial tool that meets its needs, making strategic investments for the future. In this context, MD Food is currently implementing the “Green Productive Investment for SMEs” program, through which — with 40% funding — it will adopt even more advanced technologies and develop modern, high-standard infrastructure, aiming to provide excellent services to its customers.

Το Νέο Logistic Center: Μια Επένδυση – Σταθμός για την περιοχή

The largest investment to date by Panagiotis Moschidis and Christos Dontsos is expected to be the creation of a state-of-the-art Logistic Center, MD Logistics, which will become the largest logistics company in the entire region of Eastern Macedonia and Thrace. This €3 million investment has already been approved under Development Law 4887/2022 and will be subsidized at a rate of 70%.

The investment includes full expenses for building works, mechanical and other equipment, aiming to ensure the efficient operational performance of the facility.

The investment plan was drafted and will begin implementation in collaboration with the Business Development and Development Law Division of ena Development Consultants, which has provided specialized guidance and support at every stage to date.

The Logistic Center will serve the entire region of Eastern Macedonia and Thrace, strengthening the local economy and providing high value-added services. This is an investment expected to become a landmark for the logistics sector in the area, while at the same time establishing MD Logistics as a pioneer in modern supply chain solutions.

Οι ιδρυτές της MD Logistics οραματίζονται μια επιχείρηση που θα συνεχίσει να πρωτοπορεί και να αναπτύσσεται, δημιουργώντας νέες ευκαιρίες για την περιοχή. Στα μελλοντικά τους σχέδια περιλαμβάνονται:

  • Η δημιουργία ενός Cash & Carry, το οποίο θα βελτιώσει την εξυπηρέτηση των πελατών.
  • Η είσοδος σε νέες αγορές και γεωγραφικές περιοχές.
  • Η εφαρμογή καινοτόμων λύσεων στην αλυσίδα εφοδιασμού.
